Santosh's 4 goals Steer NTSC to win

Kathmandu-Striker Santosh Shaukhala scored four goals as Nabil Three Star Club defeated 10-men NIB Friends Club 4-0 to jump to the fourth position of the Martyr's Memorial San Miguel A Division League Table here at Dasrath Stadium, today.

In the Lalitpur Derby match, Shaukhala started scoring from the 22nd minute which continues till the injury time of the match. NTSC collected 14 points from four wins and two draws to improve its league standing. Shaukhala becomes the highest scorer with eight goals. Jawalakhel's Yogesh Shrestha is in the second position with five goals.

Shaukhala opened the scoring in the 21st minute utilizing the defensive error by Friends defenders. Deepak Gurung could not clear the cross by French Jocelyn Morgan which was in his contact. Shaukhala doubled the tally in the 35th minute in the superb pass by Sandeep Rai beating offside trap.

Three Star started the second half with a high morale taking 2-0 leads in the first half. Shaukhala converted a spot kick into goal to score hat-trick in the 86th minute. It is the second hat-trick of the league. NTSC was awarded penalty kick for a handball by Deepak Bhushal in the goal line. Deepak was shown straight red card and was sent off. Shaukhala scored his fourth goal in the injury time in the pass by Saroj Dahal.

NTSC will take on defending champion Nepal Police Club next week.
